Scott Kennedy is the author of Dark Revival and the founder of Slick Tentacle Press — a self-publishing imprint he built for exactly the kind of stories that don't slot neatly into a genre shelf.
His debut novel lives in the space where historical fiction meets horror: post-WWI America, evangelical revival meetings, and men so hollowed out by war that something else could crawl in and take up residence. It's the kind of book that treats faith seriously enough to show what happens when it breaks bad.
Scott is also the voice behind Nerd for Words, a YouTube and TikTok channel about books, writing, and the underexplored corners of literary history — where enthusiasm matters more than expertise, and the goal is always to get more people reading more interesting things.
His second novel is in progress. Slick Tentacle Press is based in the United States and publishes independently.
